Waterproof

TPU-laminated fabrics, roll-down closure and a welded construction: The saddle bags Monsoon are 100% waterproof.

The new design of the roll down closure helps you to close your bags even if they are loaded to the top. Just overlap the two plastic strips over one another and easily roll down.

3-Layer Protection

In Enduristan life is sometimes hard: The bush extends onto the track, the creeks are precariously deep and not every slip-up can be avoided. Great if your luggage can deal with all that!

1 Wear Protection: In the areas most likely to be damaged we use 1000D Cordura®, which is twice as strong as the Cordura® used in most motorbike jackets and trousers.

2 Impact Protection: At the front, underneath and at the rear we use high impact plastic to protect the contents of the bags from thrown-up stones and branches.

3 Water Protection: The waterproof layer is made of double side coated fabric, the construction is all welded. Unlike hard panniers, the roll down closure does not bend in the case of a crash and remains waterproof.

Mounting without frames

Monsoon fits many bikes without frame, thus keeping the bike narrow and the weight close to the centre. Always take care to keep a safe distance to hot parts of the exhaust system and keep Monsoon well out of hot exhaust gases. We suggest using a muffler slider or exhaust shield.

Mounting with pannier frames

If you use pannier frames, Monsoon will also fit bikes with very small or no mudguards on the sides, such as the BMW F 800 GS. For a secure mount we offer a kit, containing two extension straps and two additional ROKstraps. Following a few examples:

Press Responses

"Endurists are generally known for paying attention to every gram, especially when longer Offroadtrips are planned. The Swiss Company Enduristan, who have already brought attention to themselves with their awesome tankbag "Sandstorm", is now offering something for the rear – in the same quality. The saddlebags "Monsoon" are fully adjustable using a roll-up seal and weight just three kilograms. The outer material in vulnerable areas is made of sturdy cordura. In the front and the rear of the saddlebag, an additional, robust plastic protects from damage. A double laminated fabric in the top area guarantees water tightness. The manufacturer promises a 100 percent water tightness, which we can confirm after several wet test rides. The bags themselves are adjustable in their volume between 15 to 30 liters. Two wide and very elastic ROKstraps allow an individual attachment to the bike. Advantage: the system moves in case of a crash - major damage is not to be expected. By a correct installation the high speed stability is pretty good too - nothing wobbles at the rear, they sit firmly in the seat."

"With its wide, sub-seat fuel tank the F650GS may not have been an ideal candidate for Enduristan throwovers; it just doesn’t have the nice flat sides to suit them. Even then, I mounted the bags as low and as far forward as possible to centralise the weight and was typically running up to 10kg in each bag. Even in that position they never got in the way when I was paddling the bike hard through soft sand. Pushing the bike through even softer conditions was made awkward by the width of course, but better that than an alloy pannier’s hard edge. It never crossed my mind that the Monsoons might hurt me as it often did on Desert Riders with alloy Touratech Zegas." Read Chris Scott's full review
